Roberts' Birds of Southern Africa. Simply the best Book on the subject. Pact full of info.

Birds of Southern Africa. Longmans

Newmans Birds of Southern Africa Good images concise information, useful checklist.

Birds of East Africa by Terry Stevenson & John Fanshane.

The Cuckoos by Robert B Payne Brilliant source of information and a great help with this web site.

Howell and Webb A Guide to the birds of Mexico and Northern Central America. An excellent book but a lot of birds are not illustrated.

Peterson Field Guides Mexican Birds another great book wonderful illustrations some species not covered.

A field Guide to the Birds of the Indian Subcontinent by Krys Kazmierczak A very useful book well illustrated by Ber van Perlo

Simpson & Day Field Guide to the Birds of Australia Very concise Good illustrations Example and lots of info. Superb book.

Collins Bird Guide Didn't think I needed a new British field Guide but this is very useful. A lot more info than most bird guides pictures are of good quality. European Birds. Great for ID Example

Birds of South East Asia New Holland Craig Robson. Well illustrated and plenty of info.

USA Birds of Eastern North America & Birds of Western by David Sibley A lot of understandable duplication. Illustrations images and info all good and very useful.

A Pocket Guide to Hawai'i's Birds Photos by Jack Jeffrey and H Douglas Pratt A wonderful little book more than a field guide.

Recommended Read The Big Earth Book by James Bruges.
